Mar. 10, 2010Lowell:River Hawks Head to Maine for Hockey East Quarterfinals #20 River Hawk hockey (18-14-4, 12-11-4 HE) will head to the Alfond Arena this weekend to battle Maine (16-15-3, 13-12-2 HE), in a best of three series, for the Hockey East Tournament quarterfinals. Earlier this season, UMass Lowell earned a weekend split in Orono and is 2-1-0 overall in its last three games at the Alfond. (MORE)
Mar. 9, 2010Amherst:Don "Toot" Cahoon's Hockey East Teleconference Massachusetts Head Hockey Coach Don "Toot" Cahoon participated in Hockey East's teleconference Tuesday morning. Cahoon assessed his team's play to this point in the season and previewed this weekend's Quarterfinal matchup with second-seeded Boston College. The Mass Attack reached the Hockey East Quarterfinals for the eighth straight season, and will travel to Chestnut Hill to take on the Eagles beginning Friday at 7 PM from Conte Forum. (MORE)
Mar. 9, 2010Amherst:Justin Braun Named INCH National Player Of The Week After leading the UMass hockey team to a pair of wins at Maine and into the Hockey East Play-Offs, senior captain Justin Braun earned a trio of weekly honors highlighted by being named the INCH National Player of the Week. The defenseman, who tallied four goals and an assist, was also named the Hockey East Performer of the Week and the UMass Athlete of the Week. (MORE)

Hutton receives the honor for the third time this season (Jan. 5 and Feb. 15).
