Amherst:100 UMass Games To Air On CBS 3 Now, Digital TV
The University of Massachusetts Athletic Department is thrilled to broaden its relationship with CBS 3 Springfield, as the two have reached an agreement where 100 UMass sporting events in the 2010-11 season will air live on CBS 3 Now starting this August. The channel can be seen on Comcast Digital Cable channel 293 in Western Massachusetts and will soon air on both Charter and Time Warner cable systems. CBS 3 Now will show games for all UMass teams ranging from football, basketball and hockey to soccer, field hockey and lacrosse. CBS 3 Now has recently been re-branded and formerly was known as CBS 3 Weather Now. (MORE)

Amherst:A-10 Women's Basketball Championship To Be Held In Massachusetts
For the second time in the 29-year history of Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Basketball, the league will host its A-10 Women's Basketball Championship at a neutral site. Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade today announced the 2011 Championship will be played at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 4-7. Located just 80 miles from Amherst, the Minutewomen will have the opportunity to compete in the postseason without leaving the Bay State. (MORE)

Lowell:Former Lowell H.S. Standout Schermerhorn Joins UMass Lowell Staff
