Jul. 26, 2010Amherst:Boucher Reaches Final B At World Rowing Champs. UMass Minutewoman rower Emily Boucher completed competition at the 2010 World Rowing Under 23 Championships last weekend in Brest, Belarus. The Lee, N.H. native competed in the lightweight single sculls event, reaching the Final Bon the last day of racing. Boucher will return to the Minutewomen squad in the fall for her junior season. Jul. 21, 2010Amherst:Boucher To Compete At U23 Rowing World Championships In Belarus UMass Rowing junior Emily Boucher will represent the United States at the 2010 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Brest, Belarus. Boucher will race in the Lightweight Single Sculls event, which is slated to begin Thursday. The Lee, N.H. native earned a spot on the National Team after capturing gold by nearly seven seconds in the same event at the U23 Trials in late June. (MORE)
Jul. 1, 2010Amherst:96 Student-Athletes Named To A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll For Spring Semester NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - 96 student-athletes from the University of Massachusetts were named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll is was announced by league commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade on Thursday. The Atlantic 10 honors all student-athletes who achieved a 3.5 GPA or better for the spring semester. There were 103 student-athletes for UMass in the fall semester. All A-10 sponsored sports are honored regardless of whether they are in season or not. There were 1,180 total student-athletes this semester.
